We're a games studio based in Zurich, Switzerland which focuses on systemic games and emergent gameplay, founded by Basil Sutter

History

History

Basil Sutter started studying Game Design at the Zurich University of Arts in 2016. Although he came from a visual and illustrative background, he quickly became interested in systemic games and started experimenting with emergent gameplay behaviours and functionalities. This eventually lead to his graduation project HIRT, which he created together with David Hunziker. In HIRT, players fight each other with sheep based combat mechanics, which are interconnected and react to each other and environmental situations. In November 2020, Basil founded his studio lauflauf to explore one of his newer experiments further, the game prototype "Untited Mecha Game".
